Day Seven
I’ve spent a lot of time in Japan.
I’ve been there eight times:
twice visiting family,
(I had married a Japanese),
six times on business.
Art shows.
Something about this day,
kept reminding me of being
there.
Reminded me of the Japanese,
and how they do things.
It’s as if there is a lot of thought, tradition,
behind everything they do.
Everything is considered,
thought out,
just so,
exactly like that.
Kind of like action,
as a form of meditation.
Everything has a deeper meaning.
That’s what I kept feeling out there this day.
Like there was something very big going on here.
It was like suddenly,
everything would go hush.
Like we were in the presence of something sacred.
