The figures project

Maria is a woman with many talents. She’s deaf, yet at Power of the Spoken Word, she regularly takes the microphone and wordlessly sings and dances to the CD of her choosing. She also draws and paints with the kind of confidence that any art student would be proud of. Renaissance Woman that she is, Maria also knits and crochets (she carries her bag of yarn everywhere she goes) and so we created her portrait using yarn. She and two other members did all the work.
